My daughter always loves the bad guys in games, movies and books, so her liking Bowser Jr. wasn't a surprise. When she spotted him at the store yesterday, she literally froze in place, her jaw dropped, then she ran over and gave him a big hug. I was really surprised at how well-designed he is, and how close to the game model he looks. This is a very good plush but there's a tiny problem that keeps it from getting 5 stars in my eyes.
First, yes, Bowser Jr. looks just like he does in the stock picture. He has the black bracelets, little stubs for horns, mean mouth bandana, and lots of spikes on his shell. This is as good as you're going to get as far as Bowser Jr. plushes go...at least at this price (though I did get him for a lot cheaper). The colors are bold but not too bold, and it looks perfect to how he appears in the games. His eyes are sewn on, rather than having plastic ones, and he's as cuddly as a little spiked turtle can get.
The tiny problem I mentioned has to do with minor details on the spikes on his shell. The fabric that goes around the base of each spike was done pretty sloppily, though that has more to do with quality control than anything, and you could probably find a perfect one easily. I'd also be careful with the bandana if you or your child wants to put it over Bowser's face- it doesn't work. But this little dude still rocks.
You might want to shop around and make sure you aren't paying too much for Bowser Jr. before buying, especially since he's just a little under 7" tall, but for fans of the character, this is one of the best things you can get them.

I'm so excited to see Twilight Friday Morning!!! I had to be sure I'd receive this before I go to the showing. The crest is riveted into place on a piece of leather about 2.5 inches wide and maybe 7 inches long. The closure is a leather thong (which I readjusted a little so it was more comfortable.) The crest (on my cuff anyway) has a dark black back ground and just the right amount of faux patina on the high relief. I highly recommend this item for any fan of the Cullen boys.
